Payton Makenna

Payton Makenna’s journey as a performer began long before she stepped behind a microphone as a country artist. From a young age, she discovered her love for the stage through musical theatre, where she quickly stood out for her vocal ability, acting, and natural presence as a performer.

Some of her most memorable theatre roles include Little Red in Into The Woods, Annie in Annie, and Ariel in The Little Mermaid. Through these productions, Payton earned numerous awards and recognition for her performances with both The Act and NTPA theaters, building the confidence and stage experience that continue to define her as an artist today.

Now bringing that same passion to country music, Payton Makenna has grown into an accomplished singer-songwriter with a unique ability to connect with audiences through honest lyrics and heartfelt performances. Her debut album, Be The Light, introduced listeners to her blend of faith, emotion, and real-life storytelling, while her upcoming sophomore project, Chaotic Country, showcases the continued growth of her sound and artistry.

A member of the Texas Country Music Association, Payton has been featured on the Best Texas Country Picks, Volume 8 compilation and recognized with a nomination for Album of the Year (Modern Country/Pop Country) from the Josie Music Awards. She has also performed the National Anthem and God Bless America for sporting events, rodeos, festivals, and community celebrations throughout Texas.

Beyond music, Payton is deeply passionate about encouraging others, especially young people who may be facing difficult seasons in their lives. Through her advocacy for teen mental health and suicide prevention, she uses her voice and platform to remind others that their lives have value and that they are never alone. Her message is simple but powerful: “You are wanted. You are needed. You are enough.”
